Bees on pasture

This weekend, we travelled to Albany to attend a beekeeping clinic taught by the SOWEGA¬†beekeeper’s club in Albany, GA. We met terrific new friends, ate delicious food and learned alot about bees. White Oak Pastures will be receiving new colonies in April, and if all goes well throughout the coming years, we’d like to include honey in the CSA program as well. In the meatime, our bees will enjoy our certified organic acreage while helping to pollinate our 4 acre garden. In preparation for their arrival, we’ve planted perrenial white clover and¬†plenty of flowers.
